Flint Lab has won the 'The 12th Korea Green Energy Excellence Award 2018'

By Kim, Flint Lab Inc.Updated June 04, 2018 [Contest Overview] "The 12th Korea Green Energy Excellence Award 2018"• Hosted by Hankook-Ilbo (Korea Times) • Sponsored by 'Korea Environment Corporation', 'KETEP(Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning)' Hankook-Ilbo(The Korea Times), sponsored by the 'Korea Environment Corporation' and the 'KETEP(Korea Institute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning)', has selected through a strictly impartial judging process of the 'The 12th Korea Green Energy Excellence Award 2018'. The systematic evaluation screening had the purpose to announce the technology, product, and management(administrative) cases of domestic excellent institutions and companies which constantly striving for to save energy and improve the environment. This year, there was intense competition among a total of 330 applicants(institutions and companies), and after the judging panel's rigorous screening process, the best green organizations and companies were finally selected for each field. Flint Lab Inc.(CEO Hyouk Jin Yun) has developed the world's sole combustion devices(stove and heater) that use plant oil and waste cooking oil as a fuel. Flint Lab's combustion technology began in 2006 when Dr. Yoon Sung Wan(Current Technical Director)'s studies about cleaner and more sustainable alternative energy to solve air pollution was going on. Especially, he investigated to solve the user 's diseases resulted from the use of wood fuel in developing countries. The animals and plants oil is sustainable and carbon-neutral, thus have the endless possibility of environmentally friendly alternative fuel. This technology of Flint Lab allows the oil to be burned completely without additional conversion and can be used as new renewable energy, from personal cooking products to industrial heating products. It's less expensive because the fuel is collected from the abandoned plant, or waste cooking oil. In this way, we can replace fossil fuel or biomass, which can prevent deforestation and reduce air pollution. The flint's combustion technology in such wise maximizes the advantages of the animal/plant oil or waste cooking oil and improves the compatibility as a next generation's alternative energy technology.
