'China - Flint lab’s participation in the 1st China-Ghana-Zambia Joint Stakeholder meeting on Renewable energy technology transfer' By Kim, Flint Lab Inc.Updated June 25, 2017 The first China-Ghana-Zambia Joint Stakeholder meeting on Renewable energy technology transfer was held in Beijing, Chengdu, and Chongqing from 14th to 19th of October, 2016. Understanding the circumstance of Ghana and Zambia of Africa, the seminar was a technology exchange platform aiming at providing with the information of China's policy, culture and domestic markets, promoting China's supply of renewable energy and technologies, and also making the interaction and network system with existing technology suppliers. The delegates were over 200 people. The participants from Zambia were the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Planning and Finance, the Ministry of Education, rural communities, electric power companies and the university officials. Next, the participants from Ghana were the National Energy Council, the Kafue hydropower Center, the New Renewable Energy Institute, etc. Lastly, the participants from China were the 21st Management Center, National Development and Reform Commission of China, UN Representative Office of China, Asian Development Bank, Tsinghua University, China Agricultural University, Hydropower International Center, the New Renewable Energy Institute of China, the International Photovoltaic Technology Promotion Center, Beijing Technical University, and 160 more business representatives. Flint lab, representing Korea, took participation in the conference together with Haixun Biotech Company. The demand for industrial development and overseas industry associations suggest the direction for developing renewable energy industry. In terms of actual demand and supply, Chinese and foreign participants from other technology sectors sought the possibility of cooperation together. As a result, the seminar was concluded with MOUs of various stakeholders including solar and bioenergy field. Flint lab has executed the MOU regarding the development of technology and industry with the New Renewable Energy Institute from Ghana. Especially, we have also shared our opinions about joint development in regards to the clean cookstove and bio heater industries in China with Haixun Biotech Company and China Agricultural University.
